Tansfer to Bwindi Forest for Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari
On this day you will meet our company representative who will be your safari guide for a short briefing and start your 8 hrs journey southwards from Kampala city. Along the way we shall have our first stopover at the equator for the photographic moment and then proceed to the next town for lunch in Mbarara town, after lunch we shall continue with our road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. This road trip will give your marvelous sights of plantations, landscapes, and highway vegetable markets. The road trip will stop at the lodge where we shall have dinner and overnight.
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
On this day, early in the morning your safari guide will meet you up from the lodge and have a short transfer to the briefing point at 7 am before you start your gorilla trekking activity. Upon arrival at the briefing point, you will be warmly welcomed by the Bakiga women who will entertain you with cultural performance until the time of the briefing. You will be assigned to the ranger guide and they will allocate you to the gorilla family in a group of 8 guests and finally start your gorilla trek in the forest of Bwindi. Sometimes gorilla trekking takes a lot of time being the fact that they can be located in a long-distance so you are advised to hire a porter to help you carry your backpacker and give a hand on the steep slippery path.
Batwa community Visit and Transfer to Entebbe International Airport or Kampala city
Immediately after early morning breakfast, your safari guide will take you to the Batwa pygmy’s community. The Batwa are the original inhabitants of the Bwindi forest. Have a chance to meet these people whose livelihood depends on fruit gathering and hunting, you will have a glimpse of their cultural lifestyle and from there embark on the long drive with lunch en-route in Mbarara town and proceed to Kampala thus the end of your safari.
